Artwork Requirements & Guidelines
At Catch Fire Marketing, we have an in house graphic designer who is happy to set up your press-ready file. However, if you do have a designer putting together your art files, here are some quick guidelines to follow:
- CMYK Color Space Usually Preferred. Pantone/Spot Colors accepted.
- Photos @ 300 dpi (dots per inch) – Photos should be at print quality resolution. If you are unsure, the best thing to submit is your raw camera file that has not been compressed.
- Logos – Vector (.eps) files preferred. Also accept .PDF; .ai (currently, we are on CS5,5) or high resolution (300 dpi) .tif or .jpeg files. With image files we will not be able to scale up to a larger size than what is sent.
- Content – Please send text as either a Word or InDesign document, or typed in some format (if we can copy & paste, there is less room for error).
- Bleed – Please include a minimum .125″ bleed on all artwork for print products that require bleed. For banners include 1″. If you are unsure about this, please contact us with your questions.
- Crop Marks – We prefer you do not include crop marks in most cases. We can always go in and add these if needed.
Did you remember to Spell Check, Proof Read and Preflight your document(s)?
